Ross E. Taubman, D.P.M.
President and Chief Medical Officer, Podiatric Insurance Company of America (PICA)
Dr. Ross Taubman is the President and Chief Medical Officer of the Podiatric Insurance Company of America (PICA), a ProAssurance subsidiary and the largest insurer of Doctors of Podiatric Medicine in America. Prior to joining PICA, Dr. Taubman practiced podiatry for 26 years, primarily in Maryland, where he was active in organized podiatry, serving as Treasurer, Vice-President and President of the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Taubman has also been a leader in national podiatric medicine. He served as President of The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) from 2008 through 2009, and served in a number of executive leadership positions for the APMA.. Dr, Taubman received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1979 and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM) in 1983. He completed two years of residency training at CCPM and the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Vallejo, California focusing on both podiatric medicine and surgery. He is a diplomate in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
