Darryl K. Thomas, J.D.

Co-President, Professional Liability Group; Chief Claims Officer and Senior Vice-President

DARRYL K. THOMAS, J.D., is the Co-President of the Professional Liability Group and serves as the Group's Chief Claims Officer. Prior to the formation of ProAssurance, Mr. Thomas was Senior Vice President of Claims for ProNational Insurance company, one of ProAssurance’s predecessor companies. Prior to joining ProNational Insurance Company in 1995, Mr. Thomas was Executive Vice President of Cameron General, a national third-party administrator of professional liability claims, including physicians, dentists, lawyers, accountants, and architects and engineers. Mr. Thomas was also Vice President and Litigation Counsel for the Kentucky Hospital Association. Mr. Thomas started his insurance career with the Medical Protective Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he was a staff attorney. Mr. Thomas is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business and The University of Toledo College of Law. Mr. Thomas is licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois and Michigan.
