Objectives:
Participation in this seminar will better enable participants to:
- Recognize multiple opportunities to improve patient satisfaction through effective
communication; and
- List at least three practical skills to use when talking with patients and families
about an unexpected event.
Course Description:
This seminar covers discussions of unexpected outcomes with patients and their families.
When an unexpected event occurs, your approach to the patient and family will often
set the stage for a healthy physician-patient relationship or one doomed to culminate
in a lawsuit.
