You can expect innovative liability solutions for emerging healthcare classes of risks with diverse needs. Think telemedicine, virtual medicine, locum tenens, emergency medicine, multi-state, multi-specialty, risk sharing, and more. The Excess & Surplus (E&S) division provides single-source solutions for your physician and healthcare clients seeking alternatives to the standard market medical professional liability coverage.
Physicians, physician groups, and medical facilities are considered based on their unique attributes and requirements. The E&S lines division works with approved wholesale and national retail brokers to find customized coverage options. Solutions may include varying levels and structures of coverage to suit your clients’ needs. These include consent to settle, tail coverage, defense costs, self-insured retentions and deductibles, incident reporting, and more.
When you place an E&S client with ProAssurance, coverage is underwritten with a history of experience, expertise, and financial strength. We strive to make it easier for you to do business with us.
Your clients’ medical professional liability insurance is made simpler with dozens of risk resource services. Insureds have access to sophisticated loss control services and risk resource tools, including:
Risk Resource Advisors are easy to work with and help you increase the control you experience.
*A fee may apply
Insureds who wish to enter the standard medical professional liability market can apply for the reentry program through PRA Services Corporation. The program includes a review of your client’s practice of medicine. Participation is based on a program fee, personal interview, written documentation, and other factors.
Your clients’ participation and satisfactory compliance with ProAssurance’s recommendations enable us to consider your client for the standard market, but do not guarantee placement in the market. Discuss this program with your clients to help them determine if it’s the right track for them.
If we determine your client has satisfactorily completed the program, the appropriate ProAssurance company will offer your client coverage.* Choose an insurer who listens, understands, and delivers a program that can help you be readmitted to the standard market. That’s only fair.
