National Patient Safety Awareness Week

Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 14-20. The Institute for Health Improvement began Patient Safety Awareness Week as a way to encourage everyone, locally and globally, to take action to improve healthcare safety—both for the patient and the healthcare workforce. Healthcare providers and those in healthcare-adjacent industries are encouraged to dedicate this time for having important discussions about patient safety, and celebrate how far the field has come.

Our Risk Resource Department works to help you minimize risk and improve patient safety. Members have access to a variety of training resources including:

  • Two Minutes: What’s the Risk? video series
  • Medical office staff seminars
  • Sample forms, checklists, and letters
  • Risk Resource Guidelines
  • Practice assessments
  • And more
