Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 14-20. The Institute for Health Improvement began Patient Safety Awareness Week as a way to encourage everyone, locally and globally, to take action to improve healthcare safety—both for the patient and the healthcare workforce. Healthcare providers and those in healthcare-adjacent industries are encouraged to dedicate this time for having important discussions about patient safety, and celebrate how far the field has come.
