You have options for premium payments for your medical professional liability insurance policy.

Pay Online

To pay online, sign in to the Secure Services Portal (SSP) and select the "Payments" menu option.

Please note:

  • Online or phone payments made before 12:00 noon CT on regular business days are sent to the bank same day.
  • Online or by phone payments after 12:00 noon CT or on weekends are sent the next business day. 

Your payment posts to your ProAssurance account no later than the next business day. Balance and activity are viewable on the SSP's Billing Account Summary page.

The online payments option is available 24/7.

To make a payment by phone, call our service center at 800-282-6242.

The phone payment option is available during regular business hours.

Choose the correct address for your insurance company and mailing method below. When mailing a check, please include the detachable remittance portion of your invoice to aid faster payment processing.

Payments Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pay my tail policy payment online or by phone? 

Not yet. Please call your policy specialist at 800-282-6242 for tail payment options.

Do you retain my banking information from previous payments? 

ProAssurance does not store bank account information that you provide when you pay online or by phone; this practice helps protect your banking information.

How may I pay to immediately reinstate a policy canceled due to non-payment?

If your policy has been canceled, please contact your agent or a ProAssurance policy specialist (800-282-6242) to discuss policy reinstatement.

You may make a payment over the phone for canceled policies, subject to underwriting rules and regulations, though it does not guarantee policy reinstatement.

Payments cannot be made online for canceled policies. 

If I don't have an email address; can I still make a payment by phone?

No; banking regulations require us to send an email confirmation of the transaction to the person making the payment. As such, an email address is required.

Is there a fee for making a payment over the phone?

No, there is no fee for making a payment online or over the phone.

Can I pay by credit card?

ProAssurance does not currently accept credit cards for premium payments.
