New Online Seminar - CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain

Physicians increasingly find themselves on the front lines of the opioid crisis. Primary care physicians account for roughly half of all opioid pain medication dispensed in America, with the majority of these prescriptions written to treat chronic pain. In response to this crisis, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has proposed twelve recommendations for prescribing opioids for chronic pain. In CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain, Dr. Stephen Furr examines the CDC prescribing guidelines and highlights alternative treatment options available to providers.
