Certitude is a healthcare professional liability insurance program created exclusively for physicians and healthcare providers who are affiliated with an Ascension health ministry. Certitude helps physicians and healthcare providers work together with their Ascension hospital and ProAssurance to work towards a goal of increasing patient safety, lessening risk, and building a strong defense team.

Created in 2011 for Ascension and underwritten by ProAssurance companies, Certitude features a unified risk management approach that focuses on patient safety, alignment of physicians and hospitals, cost savings, and fair treatment to help ensure better outcomes and greater peace of mind. Certitude protects more than 3,000 physicians and healthcare providers at nearly 20 Ascension health ministries with more sites being added.
